Voting Machine Errors - Summary

A collection of news stories documenting known errors in all-electronic (black box) voting machines in past elections. These stories demonstrate the primary reason behind our petition. Electronic systems are inherently unreliable. Software bugs, hardware errors and electrical glitches are all a common reality in the computer industry. Any of these problems can cause irretrievable loss of electronic data. In order to ensure every legitimate vote cast in US elections is fairly and accurately counted, every machine must create a paper record at the time the voter's ballot is cast.

If you know of other mainstream media reports of data loss, extra votes generated by electronic voting machines, or verified accounts of votes being cast for the incorrect candidate, please email us the URL: clearvote(AT)mivox.com, or send the link through our Feedback Form.
